This may take you five minutes to read but here’s why you need to read it- I just sat on the phone, live, with two of the most successful business men in American history… for an hour listening to them talk about success in business. I’ll share with you what I learned…
Last night was the Zrii Club’s first inaugural mentoring call. How often in your lifetime can you be on the phone with two ultra successful business people and listen in on them talk about the successes and challenges of business. Like never? Well, that’s what happened last night. You see, I signed up with Zrii at the premium level. This was one of the perks that I saw that held a lot of value for me. When striving to be successful and attempting to not have to go through the school of hard knocks I want mentors who have ‘been there, done that.’
Zrii CEO, Bill Farley was on the phone with Bill Smithburg. Not household names you say? Well we are learning fast about Mr. Farley, the developer of brands like Jordache, Christian Dior, BVD, Fruit of the Loom, Acme Boots and many more. On top of that he’s been part owner of the Chicago White Sox. Bill Smithburg was the former CEO of Quaker Oats, a multi-billion dollar brand. He talked last night about the acquisition of a small company called Stokley Van Kamp who created a small sports drink you might have heard of called Gatorade. Well he told the whole story of how they eyed it out saw potential and took Gatorade for $90 Million dollars in sales to over $4 Billion.
I’m sorry but in all my 44 years I have just never had the privilege of being a fly on the wall listening to a candid conversation about success by two multi-billion dollar producers…and these guys have a HUGE definition of success.
So one thing that Bill Farley is dead set on doing with Zrii is creating a billion dollar brand…that became ultra apparent last night. I thought I understood that at the beginning but last night it really hit home. That’s his game . That’s his goal. That’s the big “Why” he is in it. You could hear the strategy and thought processes when they were talking to each other. They think big… and boy am I glad! What a feeling to be on this team, especially at this juncture of the game.
He’s not in it to be a one hit wonder. And although Zrii will be doing $10 million per month by the end of its first year he is not resting on his laurels or high fiving everyone and jumping for joy. The first year records and successes are just a stepping-stone.
I’ll touch on some of the topics of the conversation for you:
Zrii is debt free. Zrii is turning a big profit already. Since Farley’s only successful outcome on this thing is to make a billion dollar brand he is already taking the positive cash flow and reinvesting right back into the company. Whereas if someone were a small thinker they may say, “Wow, millions in profits already, I’m going to buy that yacht I’ve always wanted.” Wouldn’t you? Well, that’s not consistent with his outcome…a billion dollar brand. So he’s creating things with the money like the Zrii Broadcast Network, which will be a multi media information and production platform to help all of Zrii’s Independent Executives (I.E’s) in becoming more equipped to be more successful.
These are the proper actions of a world-class brand with a world class product with a global vision.
So Farley, who just returned from the Olympics in Beijing, talked about what these athletes had to do to get there. They didn’t ‘sign up’ 6 months ago and say, “I think I’ll give swimming a try.” They’ve WORKED for YEARS at refining their skills. Endured multiple failures as well as milestones along the way. They kept their eye on the goal and didn’t waiver. What a great viewpoint for us starting our own network marketing businesses with Zrii, huh?
Even with the leadership of Bill Farley and his successes, he has had multiple failures. But he didn’t lie down. Bill Smithsburg shed some light on that subject when Bill Farley asked him how he handles stress and disappointment. His answer was simply profound. Smithsburg said,
“As long as the vision is intact, the stress in front of you is only temporary.”
Wow…could you apply that philosophy to your Zrii business? I’m starting today.
This may be some of the most important advice you will ever hear on achievement. Sit quietly and create your individual vision. YOU MUS1. Otherwise what are you going to focus on when the going gets tough? … Nothing? It’s pretty easy to let go of nothing. It gets a lot harder to let go of something that means a lot to you. So when you have nothing to hang on to…you let go, and fall. Having that vision is imperative in your success because their will be numerous chances for you to let go.
If you didn’t have that vision and you let go, how sick to your stomach are you going to be in four years when Zrii hits the billion-dollar mark and is a global phenomenon? How hard would it be to look back at some meager little stressful event that caused you to give up? My advice is don’t let small disappointments rob you of great opportunity. This Zrii opportunity has more potential than any network marketing start up in history.
But Farley is not counting his money and laughing his way to the bank.
No one should assume this is going to be an overnight success… Farley doesn’t. If billion dollar companies were easy to create, we’d all have a few, why not? You have to keep the vision intact. Remember that as you are building your Zrii Business.
Farley mentioned last night that he is not in this to be another network marketing business. He’s in this to be the best network marketing business, in history. See, he wants to set the bar higher, he thinks like a champion.
Both men talked about building a team. Which is what we as Independent Executives are doing. Choose your team wisely. Don’t set you sights near term. Don’t get upset if half the people, or more, don’t want any part of this. Stay the course and keep the vision intact. Surround your self with like minded individuals or nurture the leader inside you to help others think like a champion as well..
What an amazing ongoing personal growth opportunity this is. You get to face all your fears; rejection, self doubt, you get to reach down and persevere, and on top of it there are big rewards for those who find that inner strength and smaller rewards for those who don’t. What a fair system. Is your current job set up that way?
So remember, not everyday will be a success, not everyday will be a failure. If you’re in this business there should be a few things in place before you set yourself up for disappointment; you should be personally motivated to live a healthier lifestyle, after all Zrii is about a lifestyle. You should learn as much as you can about the science and research behind the ingredients, Amalaki, ginger, turmeric, schizandra, jujube, haritaki and tulsi as well as the Ayurvedic concept of synergism and that combining certain botanicals could actually enhance the effectiveness of already potent substances.
Bill Smithburg could not have made Gatorade a global brand if it wasn’t a good product with good timing and great marketing. Zrii has those same elements, that’s why you here the phrase “The stars are aligning,” when hearing about this opportunity.
Don’t wish this were easier, wish you were tougher. You can do it. Keep your vision intact.
No one said it would be easy out west… but we all came anyway. And boy am I glad I did!
